A recent study published in the Journal of Obesity put 2 groups of people on a calorie-restricted diet.  However, the difference between the groups was that one was to have a higher consumption of water compared to the other – before every meal, the ‘water-drinking’ group consumed 500ml of water.  After 12 weeks, both groups lost weight (between 5-8kg), however the water drinking group lost an extra 2kg compared to the diet only group.

Why the extra weight loss for the water drinkers?  It seems a ‘tummy-full’ of water really helps to curb the appetite as the water drinkers consistently ate (on average) 40 less calories per meal than the diet only group.  How is that for the easiest way to accelerate your weight loss?
