Beth is No Longer a Diabetic Thanks To The Natural Way

Beth Jamieson knew that if she didn’t do something about her weight it could kill her one day.  Beth’s health was suffering as a result of her excessive weight:  she was diagnosed with diabetes and was on medication for controlling it and her high blood pressure.   Beth knew she had to lose weight so, made a life-changing call to The Natural Way.

Beth, who now is 17.7kg lighter, tells the story in her own words, “In October 2009, I decided to try The Natural Way to lose weight.  My aim was to reduce all of the medications I was taking.  By June 2010, I am now medication free – I am now off all of my diabetes and blood pressure medications.  I have a lot more energy and feel great.  (The Natural Way consultant) Susi has been so helpful and gives me a great amount of encouragement each week.”

Beth’s determination has helped her to beat diabetes which will definitely help to improve her chance of a long and healthy future.  Diabetes is a condition where our bodies are unable to properly ‘use’ sugar, which results in higher than normal blood sugar levels.

The problem with chronic high blood sugar levels is that it can lead to long-term complications such as poor circulation, kidney disease, heart disease, impotency, nerve damage and blindness.  In fact, the most common cause of limb amputations in Australia is due to diabetic complications.

Currently in Australia, nearly two thirds of men and half of all women are overweight or obese. This is a key factor in the alarming rise of type 2 diabetes. Yet up to 60 per cent of diabetes cases could be prevented, or at least delayed, by people maintaining a healthy weight. Being overweight, especially around your waistline, makes it more difficult for those with diabetes to manage their disease and, generally, increases risk of heart disease.

Diabetes Awareness Week will take place this month from July 11-17th.  The purpose of this week is to publicise the health risks associated with diabetes and spread community awareness of the serious consequences of the disease.

What a great outcome. I have heard of overweight or obese people with diabetes improving their condition by losing weight, and this confirms it. Oh the every diabetic could lose weight naturally and improve their health. That would be great.
